Wait a second. The hymnal is full of weird words and phrases. Some of them aren’t even English! Different situations use different terms to talk about what’s going on, whether you’re learning what a touchdown is in a football game or someone yells “I object!” in a courtroom drama on TV. Thankfully, the hymnal has a glossary to explain the weird terms used in it!
