They proclaimed the Gospel and led lives worthy of legends. Some of the stories seem like they could be the next action blockbuster. And others could be pulled from the most terrifying of horror movies! Nevertheless, they each have something to teach us.

The truth is, we think we’re good people…but we’re not. We’re self-centered, we’re unfaithful, we’re…not good. If God really gave us what we deserved, it’d be a real hot mess. We are saved by the Unfairness of God. He doesn’t treat us as we deserve. He gives us forgiveness, life, and salvation…His unmerited favor. That He is good to us in this life at all is unfair.

Fun Word Friday – Name It and Claim It (A Higher Things® Video Short)

But we forget that because of Jesus, He’s our Father and we are His children. Because of Jesus, God is happy to hear our prayers. Because of Jesus, everything He does, He does for our good.
