We kick off our 5th year of HT-Radio by celebrating being picked up by KNGN in Nebraska! This week, Jon Kohlmeier returns and has Free Time with Pr. Borghardt. They recap the 200th episode and talk about the parable of the Good Samaritan. Then comes the Zombie Apocalypse….according to God! Pr. Borghardt and Jon are joined by Rev. Randy Blankschaen, pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pensacola, FL, as he discusses his breakaway from TWELVE.

During our 200th episode of HT-Radio Pr. Borghardt is ditched by Jon Kohlmeier and joined by Pr. Buetow and Sandra Ostapowich. During the first half of the episode they have a round table discussion about how woman are viewed today and homosexuality. During the second half Stan Lemon joins in via Skype and talks about what he hopes his daughter looks for in a future husband (in 40 years or so), and then asks a really good question about if it is right to vote for a Mormon President as a Christian. Unfortunately the answers don’t stay completely on topic.

Buetow that there is no strife between him and Jon Kohlmeier and then they end up talking about the Gospel reading for this week. The Pharisee and Tax Collector. Then Sandra Ostapowich joins Pr. This week we continue going through breakaways from this summer’s TWELVE conferences. This week we talk to Rev. Peter Gregory of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, IN about his breakaway from North Carolina Worthy and Well Prepared: Receiving the Sacrament. During the second half of the episode Pr. Borghardt and Jon are joined by Rev. Andrew Smith of Augustana Lutheran Church in Hickory, NC and he talks about his breakaway from NC Daring to be Lutheran at a Non-Lutheran School.

Buetow takes the theological aspects of TWELVE. Sandra talks about what happens at conferences that no one but staff sees and then they look ahead at next years conference theme!

Each of them take turns talking about the breakaway sessions that they are teaching at this year’s conferences.

Right before they leave for conferences Pr. Borghardt and Jon are joined by Pr. William Cwirla who talks about his article in the most recent issue of HT Magazine “On being Simul.” He talks us through all things Old Man and New Man. Then during Free Time Jon asks Pr. Borghardt about people leaving Lutheranism for other churches or leaving the Church all together. We also check in with the conference coordinator.

Borghardt and Jon call Sandra to check up on her just 4 days before conferences begin. Finally in the last 15 mins of the episode Jon asks Pr. Borghardt about receiving and/or rejecting the gifts of God.
