Denying Yourself and Taking Up Your Cross

What does it mean to deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Jesus? Remember the context of this statement. To deny yourself here is to put away what you think you think, feel, and know about God on your own (skewed by sin). Let your mind be shaped by the actual Word of God. Trust only in the suffering and death of Jesus for salvation. There’s your cross.
